Mark Goyder, Founder Director, Tomorrow’s Company

Mark Goyder is an award-winning speaker, writer and broadcaster with over 15 years’ experience as a manager in manufacturing businesses. He is Founder Director of Tomorrow’s Company (www.tomorrowscompany.com) a London-based globally focused agenda-setting think tank that works with business leaders and investors to shape the future of business success. Tomorrow’s Company developed the concept of the business licence to operate and redefined the concept of corporate social responsibility in the 1990s. Its work on capital markets stimulated the emergence of the UN Principles of Responsible Investment. Dr. Geoffrey William, Founder Director, William's Business Consultancy

Dr Geoffrey Williams is a founder and Managing Director of William's Business Consultancy.

He has designed and directed numerous research projects for the UK Government (DTI), European Commission (DG-Research), the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the European Standards Agency (CEN), among others. He has also worked with private companies and charities including PA Consulting Group, leading UK law firm Allen & Overy, and the Wellcome Trust UK. He is a member of the EU Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI) CSR Committee.

His recent CSR consultancy work has assisted a major industrial conglomerate on CSR management and reporting and companies in the palm oil sector and the forestry industry on sustainability management.

Geoffrey has held academic positions at London Business School, Pembroke College University of Oxford and elsewhere. He has published extensively in leading academic journals worldwide. He is an Associate Member of the Centre for Business, Organisations and Society, School of Management, University of Bath, United Kingdom and was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in 2004.
His work has been published in leading academic journals and has had direct impact in the business world. He has received coverage in the media including the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, CNBC, the Edge (Malaysia), Responsible Investor, Malaysian Business, Management (Malaysia Institute of Management Magazine), the Weekend Mail, Channel News Asia and the Sun newspaper in the UK.

Michael Dunne, President Director, General Motors Indonesia

Michael Dunne was appointed president of GM Indonesia, effective September 1, 2013. He is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Dunne previously was president of Hong Kong-based Dunne & Co., a research and marketing firm specializing in Asian car markets. His experience in Asia began in 1993 when he founded Automotive Resources Asia (ARA), a forecasting and market research firm.

In 2006, J.D. Power and Associates acquired ARA. Dunne, based in Shanghai, was named vice president of Asia Pacific at J.D. Power and led operations until 2010.

Dunne was born and raised in Detroit. He has a master’s degree in Chinese history and an MBA in marketing from the University of Michigan. He is the author of American Wheels, Chinese Roads: The Story of General Motors in China. Dunne speaks and writes Chinese and Thai.

Frank Reimann has joined Community Insights Group (CIG) as one of three Principal/Director in January 2014. He is based in Laos and his portfolio is focusing in Asia/Oceania plus overseeing the administrative function within CIG.

Prior to this he was leading the development and management of the Community Relations, Community Development, and Cultural Heritage Department as well as the Human Resource and Development Department for the plus 5,000 staff at Lane Xang Minerals (Sepon) in the Lao PDR, now owned by MMG (Minerals & Metals Group).

Before joining the Resource Industry Frank worked for 10+ years in the Development and Humanitarian Sector, serving as Country Director for ADRA, and CARE International in Cameroun, Cambodia, Indonesia (Tsunami Response) and Laos. Frank holds a MBA in Economic Development and Masters Degree in Intercultural Leadership.



Simon Talbot, Sustainable Director, Corporate and Government Affairs Asia Pacific, Mondelez International Australia

Simon Talbot has been a Director at Mondelez (Kraft Foods) for the last 7 years heading the Corporate Affairs function in the Australasian business and leading Corporate Sustainability across Mondelez’s fast growing Asia Pacific region.

Throughout this period Kraft Foods has tripled in size through significant organic growth and the successful acquisitions of Danone biscuits and the iconic Cadbury Business.

These acquisitions make Mondelez the largest global chocolate and biscuit company and no 2 in coffee. Simon has been instrumental in ensuring that the sustainable management of tropical climate commodities is central to global business strategy.

Prior to working for Mondelez, Simon was employed in Corporate and Sustainability Affairs for mining, forestry, construction and consultancy fields.

He possesses a Bachelor of Science and was the dux of his MBA course; specialising in Organisational Strategy. These qualifications have enabled him to work in over 7 countries across diverse issues from indigenous rights, corporate branding, through to critical incident management and sustainable economic systems.

He was recently seconded into the Prime Minister of Australia’s Manufacturing Taskforce, as the technical advisor on sustainable food manufacturing in the Asian century and represented the food sector at the 2012 Prime Minister Economic Forum.
He claims to have one of the region’s best jobs; presiding over brands such as; Cadbury, Toblerone and Oreo.

Ricco Surya, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR, Bumi Resources Indonesia

Mr. Surya was born in Bukit Tinggi, August 4 1977. His passion is always in sustainable development and community development.

He holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Pancasila University, Jakarta (2001), persuaded a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Resource Management from Technical University of Munich (TUM), Freising, Germany (2006). In 2013 he varied his educational background with taking another Master Degree from Trisakti University majoring in Corporate Social Responsibility.

He started his career as Community Development Officer, Senior Project in Mini Hydro Power Project – Indonesian and Germany project (GTZ & DJLPE) in 2006. Since 2008, joining in PT BUMI Resources Tbk. as Superintendent Investor Relations and CSR.

A proud mother of two son, Fenty is expanding her passion in communication and marketing since joining Goodyear Indonesia in 2005. Her involvement in marketing and sales has been proven through the years which brings her in to new assignment as Goodyear ASEAN Marketing Director.

Eliza Mohamed received her LL.b (Hons) degree in law from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She was a legal practitioner for 6 years before joining Philip Morris Malaysia (PMM) in 2001, where she was primarily responsible for Government Affairs, Communication & Public Affairs as well as the company’s corporate responsibility programmes, particularly with regards to youth smoking prevention.

Umar Juoro, Commissioner, Bank Indonesia

Umar Juoro is Chairman of Supervisory Board of Bank Indonesia (BSBI). He is also a member of the National Economic Council (KEN), independent Commissioner of BII-Maybank, Senior Research Fellow at Asian Competitiveness Institute Lee Kuan Yew School National University of Singapore, and Board of Trustee of Maybank Foundation.

Effective from 1 January 2013, Mr. Allan Yong was appointed President of Henkel Indonesia to oversee Henkel’s business and operations in Indonesia, which consist of about 300 employees working at its head office in Jakarta, an office in Surabaya and two adhesive production plants in Tangerang and Pasuruan.

Allan was previously the President of Henkel Vietnam and was instrumental in driving the business growth of Henkel’s adhesive business in Vietnam where the business more than doubled between 2008 and 2011. He started his career in India in the financial services sector managing investment portfolios of HNIs. Later he joined Unilever in the sales function. In India he managed various profiles within sales that included setting up Levi’s Standard Segment brand – Levi Strauss Signature in the capacity of Sales Director, and building it into a $ 30 Million business in a span of 4 years.

On the personal side, Sumesh is inspired by the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and applies the principles of collaborative leadership in his day to day working. Levi’s in Indonesia has been involved in various CSR projects through direct support to the underprivileged. They also run some innovative programs such as “Recycle Your Jeans” in which Levi’s procures old Jeans from the consumers in exchange of Vouchers. These jeans are then donated to NGOs which are then either directly given to the underprivileged or are used as raw material to be converted into various accessories by the underprivileged and sold. The usage of old jeans as raw material for developing accessories generates employment opportunity. At Levi’s Indonesia they call it – Donating Dignity.

19 years working experience (1995 – 2014) in broadcasting and telecommunications industry, specializing in Marketing, Investor Relations, Public Relations and Corporate Communications. Starting her communications career in SCTV, a leading broadcasting station in 1995. She was assigned at various positions in the marketing and sales functions in Home and Personal Products. In 2000, she was responsible as Consumer Experience Activation Manager; and from mid of 2003 to early 2004 as a General Manager of Domestos Nomos before appointed as General Manager Unilever Peduli Foundation.

In February 2004, she was appointed as General Manager Unilever Peduli Foundation, a foundation that has been founded by Unilever to strengthen Unilever’s continuous commitment in Corporate Social Responsibility through various sustainable programs, namely : sustainable Environment, sustainable small-medium-enterprise development and sustainable public health education. She has successfully set up this foundation (UPF) and strengthen Unilever to a much respected company in terms of Social Responsibility. Green & Clean program in Surabaya and Jakarta have been appointed winning in several global forum ( International Stevie Award ) and Indonesia MDG Award.

After successful stint in UPF, in August 2007, Okty then was promoted to become Managing Director for Unilever Foods Division. Since then she is part of Board of Directors of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. In less than one year, she has proved her capability in managing growing but challenging Foods Business. She is an inquisitive leader who believes in people-power and brand-power, but at the same time she has brought “Back-to-Basic” business approach which took Foods to achieve proud double-digit growth in 2008, 2010 and leaving Foods business in a good condition with strong double digit growth in August 2011.

Over the years, she has attended several management development programs in different countries. She is a lovely superior and colleague. She values people and bring the best of each team member. Widyaretna Buenastuti, Public Affairs and Communications Director , PT Pfizer Indonesia

Widya has a multidisciplinary background that brings her as one of the prominent resources particularly in the area of healthcare policies, legal issues in pharmaceutical industry, strategic communications and anti counterfeiting campaign. Not only that she is active in advocating the issues for bringing up a healthier Indonesia through her current role as the Public Affairs and Communications Director of Pfizer Indonesia, she has been passionately driving the relevant stakeholders in working together to address the anti counterfeit activities and campaign.

To name a few, under MIAP she has been working with the Vice President office to do series of lecture road shows to different universities in Indonesia, with the USPTO and US Embassy have also trained and educating law enforcement officials on the IPR Laws in combating counterfeits, continuously working with the Director General of IPR in improving the IPR laws and regulations as well as the implementation of it.

The combination of Widya’s background as a practicing lawyer with the number of years in the multinational corporation and complemented with her master degree in Strategic Management have provided Widya with a solid platform as a well rounded professional. Pahala N Mansury, Director, Finance & Strategy, PT Bank Mandiri

Born in 1971. Graduated with a BSc in Accounting form University of Indonesia and an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business, New York University, USA.

He began his career as a Change Management Consultant at Andersen Consulting, Jakarta, where he served until 1997.

In 1998, he moved to New York to work with a securities company on part-time basis. In 1999, he joined Booz Allen & Hamilton as a Senior Consultant for one year. In that same year, he joined the Boston Consulting Group and wa promoted to Project Leader in a role that encompassed a variety of banking project assignment through 2003.

He joined Bank Mandiri in 2003 and has served in several capacities, including as Group Head Corporate Development, Change Management Office and Economic Research from 2003 through 2006.

In 2006, he was appointed EVP Coordinator Finance & Strategy and Chief Financial Officer. He is currently a member of CFA Indonesia serving as Vice President.

In may 2010, he was appointed Director of Finance & Strategy, a position with he continues to hold



Hidayat Alhamid, Community Affairs Manager, BP Indonesia

Hidayat Alhamid was joined BP in 2005 and was appointed as community affairs manager since December 2010.

Hidayat was born and raised in Fakfak – Papua Barat. He graduated from Forestry Department – Cendrawasih University in Manokwari – Papua Barat (1988). He has a master’s degree in Social Forestry from Wageningen University – The Netherlands (1995) and PhD in Community Forestry from Australian National University – Australia (2004).

Tjahjono obtained his MBA degree in International Business from the University of Southern California (USA-1990) and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia-1975). Since 2010 he serves as the National Director of World Vision Indonesia, an International Christian humanitarian organization focusing on children and community development programs in Indonesia. He also sits as a Commissioner in Nusa Konstruksi Engineering Tbk., a public listed construction company, since 2007. He started his career at IBM Indonesia in 1976. He then joined PT Indosat Tbk., one of the leading telecommunication companies in Indonesia in1980 and served as its President Director and CEO (1991-1999). He joined Arthur Andersen in 2001 and then Ernst & Young Indonesia as a Consultant and Partner until 2005. In 2005-2008 he served as an Independent Commissioner in PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk., then from 2006 to 2011 as the Executive Director of PPM Management, a management education and business school institution.



Tom Aaker, Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Indonesia

Tom Aaker is Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Indonesia. Tom is a United States citizen and took on his current role in mid-December 2009 after transferring from the Middle East, where he was CEO of Standard Chartered Bank’s operations in Qatar and North Africa.

Prior to this Tom was CEO and Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank in Zambia from mid-2004. Tom joined Standard Chartered Bank in1993 and has held a number of senior positions in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States, including Group Corporate Treasurer, based in London. He has a total of 28 years working in the finance and banking sectors and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University in Chicago, USA.

Sreeni is the founder and Managing Director of ASSIST, an innovative and self-sustaining Non Profit focused on Capacity Building.
He is a Chemical Engineer by training and has an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management. He also has additional professional qualifications from both Japan and Germany.

Sreeni leads a dynamic and dedicated team, which has transformed ASSIST into a dynamic and innovative NGO. Currently ASSIST manages more than 50 developmental projects in 13 countries through its offices in 3 countries. It is set to grow even further and promote its social mission using its core philosophy of “Partner to Progress”.

Sreeni is a regular international conference speaker on several topics which includes CSR, Corporate Sustainability, Inclusive Solution, TVET and Capacity Building. Sreeni has launched several private and social ventures over the years, and is currently working on launching AsianNGO; a mixed media magazine/ portal, the first of its kind in Asia.
